ECCSEL EU Green Week virtual partner event "Industrial Decarbonisation and the role of CCUS"

ECCSEL ERIC in cooperation with NTNU Brussels Office will hold a partner event during EU Green Week 2021 titled: Industrial decarbonisation and the role of CCUS.

ECCSEL EU Green Week virtual partner event

The 2050 carbon neutrality goals will require large investments to decarbonize European industries. The European Green Deal brings forth CCUS as one of the possible technologies to achieve this, while at the same time the ERA relaunched strategy invites the European Research Infrastructures to expand on industrial collaborations as well as to focus on a reinforced widening approach.

In this event we will discuss the industry challenges to contribute to achieve the 2050 targets as well as the possible contributions of CCUS technologies to achieve industrial decarbonization and how to make them accessible to the industry players.

Among confirmed Speakers:

Andrea Gentili, Deputy Head of Low Emission and Future Industries Unit, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, European Commission

Koen Coppenholle, Chief Executive, CEMBUREAU, The European Cement Association

Sverre Quale, Director, The European Carbon Dioxide Capture and Storage Laboratory Infrastructure (ECCSEL ERIC)

Adam Smolinski, Scientific Secretary, Central Mining Institute of Poland
