CAPTURE

CO₂ Capture in CCUS is the process of capturing CO₂ emitted during industrial processes and power generation instead of releasing it into the atmosphere. Direct Air Capture captures CO₂ from the atmosphere.

CO₂ Capture technologies need to be implemented within acceptable cost levels in terms of additional energy required and capital investment. There is a need to further develop existing technologies and to create new ones to increase efficiency and to reduce the cost of currently available CO₂ Capture solutions.
